Meet Your Kindred Spirit
“Family isn’t always blood. It’s those in your life who want you in theirs. The ones you accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile, and who love you no matter what.”
Rosie is the most affectionate soul we have ever met. She loves to give huge big kisses. And she loves the company of everyone.
Rosie is the head of the entire family at Kindred, she is also the most nurturing, loving and accepting of the newbies and the oldies.
Because of Rosies tough start to her life, she suffers from unexplained temporary blindness and needs extra vitamins and veterinary care to keep her in the best health possible.
Rosie adores eating roses, she has a rose garden planted just for her. Being brought up in our home, Rosie still loves to come inside, she is very clever and knows how to open the fridge to find her snacks!
If you would like to contribute to sweet Rosies well being, you can sponsor her by pressing her sponsor link below, thank you!
Sweet Valentino is a big beautiful grass puppy, weighing in around 600 kilos.
Valentino sadly was considered a waste product when he was born, a boy born not the dairy industry is a grim fate for most.
It turns out that the day that Valintino was born was Valentines Day. Hence his name.
A kind human witnessed his birth, so touched and unable to bear the thought of him being killed, Valintino was immediately adopted and came to live the rest of his life here at Kindred.
Valis best friend is Pearl another rescued dairy cow. Vali has some very specific favourite foods, cactus plants in particular. He also loves to be brushed, scratched, patted and generally adored.
As you can see Vali is a big boy and his appetite is somewhat ferocious, he eats a bale or two of lucerne a week, that's around $30 per bale.
If you would like to help sweet gentle Vali with his food costs, he would greatly appreciate your support. Please click on his link to give him some love, thank you so much!
Bossy, stubborn, fussy, sensitive, emotional, fun. These are just a few of the ways are Maple navigates her days.
Coming for a very traumatic past, she is missing one of her ears, Maples bravery with trusting humans is humbling. She has a heart of gold and really only wants love. Maple spends most of her days to herself, she loves to leaf gaze and sunbathe. She also loves to sit where she knows the humans will go ie, in front of the gate, where we park the car, she does love the attention, she just doesn't directly ask for it xx
If you would like to give Maple some love, she would really appreciate that, please press on her sponsor button, thank you!
Bebe was abandoned at around six years of age, we are unsure of why.
Our paths crossed Bebes while we were taking Alice, another Kindred, for a check at the vets.
When we first met Bebe, she was stretching her beautiful paws out of her enclosure towards Angel. Bebe is an incredibly affectionate soul and was looking for some snuggles! It was love at first sight! Finding out that she was going to the cat shelter, it was instantly known that she was indeed coming back to her forever home here at Kindred that same day.
Bebe fitted right in immediately, like she had always been here, her silly and affectionate ways charming everyone. Bebe loves love. She is always sneaking up to surprise smooch her family members. Bebe is a very relaxed and adored part of the family.
If you would like to give Bebe some love, Please click on her sponsor button, Thank you!
Darling Sabu came to Kindred just two days old with his twin brother Rumi.
Sabu is an incredibly sensitive soul, having just lost his Mum, he almost lost his will to live. For the next five days, Sabu refused to eat, we learned how to tube feed him and after a few of these feeds, he decided to take his bottle. We will never forget the moment that Sabu said yes to life!
Sabu is growing more and more confident every day, he loves attention, belly rubs and cheek scratches, Sabu loves to join in our Rescue Goat Yoga Classes too.
If you would like to support dear Sabu here at Kindred you can click on his sponsor button for a one time or monthly donation, thank you!
Sweet Sage came to Kindred just a few days old with her sister Willow, they had both lost their Mumma and were destined for the freezer. She arrived frightened, wild eyes and not at all trusting of humans all.
For the first three months of her life, sensitive Sage would be in the furthest part of the paddock, avoiding everyone at all costs. Slowly over time, she learned to trust, she learned that she was safe.
Sage now loves a gentle face rub, she loves to eat lucerne chaff, she is deeply connected to her sister Willow, they are mostly only a few centimetres apart.
Would you like to support Sage? Please click on her sponsorship button to give her some love, thank you!
Darling Kisses is her name and kisses is also her nature.
Kisses is one of the cheekiest souls here at Kindred, she loves to do everything especially goatie. Climbing is her specialty, along with jumping really high while running. The grass is often greener for Kisses and she often needs assistance with getting her head unstuck from the fence.
Kisses favourite treats are carrots sticks and she also enjoys the occasional strawberry or two.
If you would like to be a part of supporting Kisses, you can click on her sponsor button to send her a one-off monthly love. Thank you.
